Pristine Spas opened on Canoe Creek Road in 2015 — our original location and the place this brand was built. Lip fillers are our most-requested med spa service at St Cloud, and many of our clients have been on a 6–12 month maintenance schedule with us for years. Every lip filler appointment uses FDA-approved hyaluronic acid products (Juvéderm, Restylane, RHA), administered by licensed medical injectors under the medical oversight of a double board-certified cosmetic surgeon. Conservative dosing. Anatomy-first philosophy. Natural, age-appropriate results that look like you — only better.

Who We Are — St. Cloud

Our St Cloud location is where Pristine started. Founded in 2015 by Tamara and Inga inside the Publix Plaza on Canoe Creek Road, it’s the location that built the brand on one thing: word of mouth. A decade in, we’re still here — same plaza, same standards, same team philosophy.

Our St Cloud med spa has been running lip filler services for years, and we’ve built a reputation specifically for natural-looking results. Most of our St Cloud lip filler clients are repeat patients — people who’ve found us through a friend, had a conservative first session, liked it, and have been coming back ever since.

If you’re local to St Cloud, Harmony, Narcoossee, Kissimmee, or anywhere in the HWY 192 corridor — this is your spa.

What Makes Pristine Lip Fillers Different

Double board-certified cosmetic surgeon oversight.

Every injectable treatment at Pristine operates under the medical direction of a double board-certified cosmetic surgeon. That’s the credential that matters — and the one most med spas don’t have. It means your treatment plan, product selection, and safety protocols are built under real clinical supervision, not delegated to a remote medical director.

Licensed medical injectors only.

Lip filler isn’t an esthetic service — it’s a medical procedure. Every injection at Pristine is administered by a licensed medical professional with advanced training in facial anatomy and injection technique. Nobody touches a syringe at Pristine without the credentials to back it.

Anatomy-first philosophy.

We don’t overfill. We don’t chase trends. We don’t follow photos of celebrities who have different bone structure, different lip shapes, and different aging patterns than you. Every consultation starts with a full assessment of YOUR anatomy — lip shape, vermillion border, cupid’s bow, upper-to-lower lip ratio, chin projection, and overall facial proportion — and builds the treatment around what will look right on your face.

Conservative dosing, honest communication.

If you come in asking for 2ml on day one and your lips aren’t structured for that volume, we’ll say so. We’d rather start you with 0.5–1ml, let you live with it for 2–4 weeks, and build up at your next appointment. Lip filler done right is a process, not a one-and-done.

Real-brand products through proper medical channels.

Juvéderm (Allergan), Restylane (Galderma), RHA (Revance) — all sourced through legitimate medical channels. No imported, counterfeit, or off-market products, which IS an actual problem at unregulated med spas.

Hyaluronidase on-site.

For HA-based fillers, the reversal agent (hyaluronidase) is always available. If you ever need correction — whether from asymmetry, overcorrection, or (rarely) a complication — we can dissolve the filler same-day. Most med spas don’t stock this.

No pressure, no quota.

Our injectors are salaried, not commissioned on product. You won’t be pushed into more product than you need, and you won’t be upsold into services you didn’t come for.

Our Lip Filler Products

We work with three primary hyaluronic acid filler families. Product selection depends on your anatomy, your goals, and your provider’s assessment.

Juvéderm (Allergan)

  • Juvéderm Ultra XC — softer gel, ideal for subtle lip enhancement and fine lines around the mouth
  • Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC — slightly firmer, for more structured lip shaping
  • Juvéderm Volbella XC — specifically designed for lip and perioral line enhancement; subtle, smooth, and long-lasting (up to 12 months)

Restylane (Galderma)

  • Restylane Kysse — designed specifically for lip enhancement, formulated for natural movement and expression
  • Restylane Silk — fine-particle hyaluronic acid for subtle lip and perioral line treatment
  • Restylane Refyne / Defyne — for surrounding areas (marionette lines, nasolabial folds) that often pair with lip treatment

RHA Collection (Revance)

  • RHA 2 and RHA 3 — next-generation resilient hyaluronic acid, designed to move naturally with facial expression, excellent for lips and perioral area
  • One of the newer filler families on the market; particularly good for clients who want fillers that feel and look more dynamic

Your injector will recommend the right product at consultation based on your lip structure, treatment goals, and any prior filler history.

What Lip Fillers Can and Can’t Do

Lip Fillers CAN:

  • Add volume to thin or deflated lips
  • Define and sharpen the vermillion border (the edge of the lip)
  • Restore structure lost to aging (lips thin and retract over time)
  • Correct asymmetry (one side fuller, uneven cupid’s bow)
  • Smooth fine lines around the lips (perioral lines, “smoker’s lines”)
  • Enhance the cupid’s bow
  • Improve the upper-to-lower lip ratio
  • Create the illusion of slightly plumper lips without surgery
  • Lift a downturned mouth (with strategic placement)

Lip Fillers CAN’T:

  • Make your lips look like someone else’s (different bone structure, different proportions)
  • Give you “Kylie Jenner lips” on a face that isn’t structured for them
  • Be undone permanently without hyaluronidase (but HA fillers CAN be dissolved — that’s the advantage)
  • Last forever (typical duration 6–12 months depending on product and metabolism)
  • Replace lip filler surgery for extreme cases (rarely needed)
  • Prevent all future lip aging
  • Be combined with every medication or medical condition (blood thinners, some autoimmune conditions, and others require additional screening)

If you come in with a photo of someone whose lips don’t match your face, we’ll show you what CAN be done with your anatomy — and usually that’s just as beautiful, often more so, because it looks like you.

The Honest Conversation About Duck Lips

The “duck lip” or “sausage lip” look most people fear comes from a few specific mistakes:

  • Too much product too fast — overfilling beyond what the anatomy can support
  • Product in the wrong location — filler placed on the wet/dry border instead of structural areas
  • Chasing a look that doesn’t fit the face — trying to replicate celebrity lips on the wrong bone structure
  • No downtime between sessions — stacking appointments without letting the tissue settle
  • Migration over time — product moving above the lip border from years of repeat overfilling

At Pristine, we avoid all five. We dose conservatively, place product strategically, respect your natural anatomy, space appointments appropriately, and never push volume you shouldn’t have. If you already have overfilled lips from a previous provider, we can help — either by dissolving existing product and starting fresh, or by doing nothing and letting the filler metabolize naturally. The consultation is honest.

Who Comes to Pristine for Lip Fillers

  • First-time filler clients wanting a conservative, subtle enhancement
  • Clients in their 30s and 40s noticing early lip thinning and volume loss
  • Clients in their 50s and 60s addressing lip aging, perioral lines, and corner drooping
  • Clients with asymmetry they’ve been self-conscious about for years
  • Brides wanting subtle enhancement 4–6 weeks before a wedding (not day-of)
  • Clients who’ve had bad filler work elsewhere and want correction or reset
  • Men seeking natural lip enhancement (more common than most people realize)
  • Clients transitioning off “stacked” overfilling from other providers, wanting a conservative reset
  • Clients with thin natural lips who want a measured, incremental approach

Before Your Lip Filler Appointment

Pre-Consultation Prep

  • Avoid blood thinners for 1 week before (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, gingko, ginseng) — with medical clearance
  • No alcohol for 24–48 hours before — reduces bruising risk
  • No facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the area for 2 weeks before
  • Stay hydrated — well-hydrated tissue responds better to filler
  • Eat a solid meal before your appointment — prevents lightheadedness
  • Come with clean lips — no lipstick, no balm, no gloss
  • Bring reference photos — not photos of other people’s lips, but photos of YOUR lips at a time you liked them, or photos showing the type of effect (subtle, moderate, defined) you’re going for
  • Schedule strategically — don’t book filler the week of a wedding, photo shoot, or major event. You need 2–4 weeks for settling.

The Consultation

Your first appointment is 60–75 minutes and includes:

Medical history review

medications, conditions, allergies, prior filler/injectables, autoimmune conditions, cold sore history

Facial anatomy assessment

measurement and analysis of your lip structure, symmetry, proportion, and surrounding facial features

Goal mapping

what you want, what’s realistic, and what product + volume to use

Product selection and pricing transparency

you’ll see what product, what volume, and what cost before any decision

Decision point

you can book the procedure same-day or come back

What to Expect During Your Lip Filler Procedure

Numbing.

Topical anesthetic is applied 15–20 minutes before injection. Most HA fillers also contain lidocaine, adding to the comfort.

Marking.

Your injector marks injection points based on the anatomy assessment.

Injection.

Fine needle or cannula used depending on technique. You’ll feel pressure and some pinches — most clients describe it as manageable, not painful.

Massage.

Your injector massages the filler to ensure even distribution and proper placement.

Post-treatment review.

You’ll see the initial result immediately. The final result shows after 2–4 weeks once swelling subsides.

Aftercare instructions.

Ice, positioning tips, and what to watch for.

Total procedure time: 20–40 minutes depending on volume and complexity.

Post-Treatment Care

First 24 Hours

  • Ice the area gently. 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off, for the first 2–4 hours.
  • Keep your head elevated when sleeping (extra pillow).
  • No alcohol for 24 hours.
  • No vigorous exercise or heat (saunas, hot tubs, steam) for 24 hours.
  • No kissing, pressure, or massage on the lips for 24 hours.
  • Expect swelling, possible bruising, and tenderness. This is normal and peaks at 24–48 hours.

First 2 Weeks

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning in the lip area.
  • Avoid dental procedures (cleanings, fillings) — wait 2 weeks.
  • No lip products with strong active ingredients (exfoliating, brightening, strong retinol).
  • Be patient — filler settles over 2–4 weeks. Do NOT judge the result on day 1 or even day 7.

Ongoing

  • SPF on lips every day (yes, lip SPF exists and matters).
  • Hydration helps filler retention.
  • Avoid extreme weight fluctuations if possible — they affect facial volume and filler distribution.
  • Touch-ups or dissolves as needed. Plan follow-up at 2–4 weeks to assess and adjust.

Who Is (and Isn’t) a Good Candidate

Good Candidates

  • Healthy adults 18+ (most practices require 21+)
  • Realistic expectations and goals
  • Willing to follow pre- and post-care
  • No known allergies to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding

Not Good Candidates (or Must Wait)

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients
  • Active cold sore outbreak — prophylactic antiviral may be prescribed if cold sore history
  • Clients on blood thinners without physician clearance
  • Active skin infections in the area
  • Recent major dental work (wait 2–4 weeks)
  • Active autoimmune flares
  • Clients with unrealistic expectations (wanting non-anatomically achievable results)
  • Under 18

Lip Filler Touch-Ups, Dissolves & Ongoing Care

Touch-ups

Most clients need a touch-up 2–4 weeks after their first treatment to perfect the result, especially if it was a conservative first session. Touch-ups are typically less volume than the initial treatment.

Maintenance

HA fillers in the lips typically last 6–9 months (Volbella and Kysse can stretch to 12 months). Most clients refresh every 6–12 months depending on metabolism and aesthetic goals.

Dissolving (hyaluronidase)

If you ever want your filler gone — whether due to aesthetic change, overcorrection, migration, or any other reason — we can dissolve it. Hyaluronidase is injected into the filler, which breaks down within hours to days. You return to your natural lip shape. This is a service most med spas don’t offer or don’t stock the product for — we do.

Correction of prior work

If you’ve had filler from another provider and want a reset, your consultation will include options: dissolve and start fresh, dissolve and wait before new filler, or conservative correction of asymmetry without starting over.

What Our Clients Say

I was terrified of lip filler after seeing bad work on Instagram. The injector at Pristine St Cloud talked me through everything, started with a conservative 0.5ml, and the result was subtle and natural. Three years in, I’m at 1ml maintenance twice a year. No one can tell — they just think my lips look great.

Melissa R.

St Cloud

Came in to fix bad filler from another spa. My lips were lumpy and asymmetrical after two sessions elsewhere. Pristine St Cloud dissolved everything, let me heal, and started fresh with Kysse. Now I finally look like myself again. Thank you isn’t enough.

Jennifer P.

St Cloud

First-time lip filler client at 42. I’d been watching my lips thin for years. Pristine St Cloud’s consult walked me through my anatomy, recommended Volbella for subtle structure, and the result is exactly what I wanted — my lips, 15 years younger. Rebooked for 12 months.

Amanda H.

St Cloud

I’ve been getting lip filler at Pristine St Cloud every nine months for five years. My injector knows my face, my history, my preferences. Never once has anyone tried to upsell me into more product. That’s rare and it’s why I’m still a client.

Sofia C.

St Cloud

Pre-wedding lip filler booked six weeks before the wedding. Perfect timing — all swelling resolved, filler fully settled, photos came out unreal. My husband still doesn’t know I got anything done — he just thinks I look amazing.
