Brow Lamination

Brow Lamination

Breathe. Relax. Let go. Fuller, lifted, perfectly shaped brows without daily makeup. A 45-minute appointment that gives you 6–8 weeks of Instagram-filter-level brows — no filters, no pencil, no pomade.

Brow lamination is a semi-permanent brow treatment that restructures brow hair to lay in a uniform upward direction, creating fuller, thicker, more symmetrical brows that last 6–8 weeks. Think of it as a perm for your eyebrows — but instead of curling, we’re lifting and setting. The result is the fluffy, feathered, "Instagram brow" look that’s been dominating beauty feeds for the last few years — without daily product, without microblading commitment, and without any downtime. At Pristine, every brow lamination is performed by a licensed esthetician using premium professional products, and always paired with optional brow mapping, shaping, and tinting for a complete finish.

What Makes Pristine Brow Lamination Different

Licensed estheticians only.

Brow lamination uses chemical solutions applied millimeters from your eyes. It should never be done by anyone without proper training. Every lamination at Pristine is performed by a Florida-licensed esthetician, many of whom trained at Pristine Beauty Academy, our accredited esthetics school.

Proper timing controls.

The difference between a perfectly laminated brow and an over-processed one is minutes. Our estheticians monitor processing time closely — over-processed brows look frizzy, dry, and damaged. We don’t rush, we don’t over-process, and we don’t risk your brows.

Premium products only.

We use professional brow lamination systems — not DIY kits off Amazon. The solutions are formulated specifically for facial hair, ph-balanced for sensitive skin, and include nourishing after-care serums that protect the hair during the process.

Mapping before we start.

Every brow lamination includes mapping — measuring your brow bone and face proportions to determine the ideal shape before we apply anything. Lamination lifts and sets your brow hair in a specific direction, so we map where that direction should go.

Pair with shape and tint for a complete look.

Most clients add brow tinting and shaping to their lamination appointment. The combo creates a fuller, darker, shaped, lifted brow that looks professionally done 24/7.

Honest consultation.

If your brows aren’t good candidates for lamination (over-processed, chemically damaged, very sparse, very fine), we’ll tell you at consultation and recommend alternatives.

What Is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a three-step chemical process performed on the brow hair:

  1. 1.Lifting Solution Breaks down the disulfide bonds in the brow hair, allowing it to be reshaped.
  2. 2.Neutralizing Solution Rebuilds the bonds in a new direction, setting the brow hair in a uniform lifted position.
  3. 3.Nourishing Oil or Serum Hydrates and conditions the brow hair to minimize chemical stress.

Between each step, the brows are brushed upward with a clean spoolie to set the direction. The result: each individual brow hair lies in the same upward, fluffed direction — filling gaps, creating symmetry, and making brows look significantly fuller than they actually are.

The Brow Lamination Combo — Lamination + Tint + Shaping

Ninety percent of Pristine clients book brow lamination as part of a three-service combo:

Brow Lamination

Lifts and shapes the hair direction.

Brow Tinting

Adds depth, fills sparse areas, enhances definition.

Brow Shaping

Waxes, tweezes, or threads to refine the final shape.

The lamination sets the structure, tinting adds the color, shaping refines the outline. Done together in one 60–75 minute appointment. It’s the closest you can get to the look of microblading without the commitment.

If you’re not sure what your brows need, book the full combo at first visit — we’ll build you the look, and next time you can maintain with whichever pieces you actually need (usually tinting + shaping every 4–6 weeks, full combo every 6–8 weeks).

Benefits of Brow Lamination

  • Full, fluffy brows instantly — no product, no work
  • 6–8 weeks of results — no daily maintenance
  • Fills sparse areas — the lifted direction covers gaps in your natural brow shape
  • Corrects unruly brows — wiry, curly, or downward-growing hairs finally lay in the right direction
  • Zero downtime — walk out of the appointment ready to go to dinner
  • No needles, no pigment, no permanent commitment — softer alternative to microblading
  • Works on most skin types — including sensitive skin (with proper patch test)
  • Pairs beautifully with other brow services — tint, shape, henna
  • Photographs perfectly — brows look professional in every photo, every time

What to Expect During Your Appointment

Consultation + mapping.

Your esthetician reviews your brow history, skincare routine, any recent chemical treatments, and allergies. They map your brow shape to your face proportions.

Patch test (first-time clients).

A small amount of the solution is applied to a patch of skin to confirm no adverse reaction. For first-timers, this is typically done 24–48 hours before the full appointment. Some clients opt into same-day patch testing with longer wait time.

Cleanse and prep.

Brows are cleaned, dried, and brushed into position.

Lifting solution (8–12 minutes).

Applied and combed upward. Monitored closely.

Neutralizing solution (8–10 minutes).

Sets the hair in the lifted position.

Optional: Brow tinting (5–10 minutes).

Semi-permanent dye applied to darken and define.

Optional: Brow shaping.

Waxing, tweezing, or threading to refine the outline.

Nourishing finish.

Hydrating serum applied to condition the hair.

Total time: 30–45 minutes for lamination alone. 60–75 minutes with tinting and shaping.

Pre-Treatment Prep

  • No retinoids or exfoliating acids in the brow area for 5 days before
  • No waxing or tinting the brows for 2 weeks before lamination (we can wax/tint DURING the appointment)
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 48 hours before
  • Come in with clean brows — no makeup, brow gel, or pomade
  • Patch test required for first-time clients (can be scheduled 24–48 hours prior)
  • Notify your esthetician if you’re on Accutane (recent or within 6 months) or have recently had a chemical peel

Post-Treatment Care

For the first 24 hours — this part matters most:

  • No water on the brows
  • No steam, saunas, hot showers, swimming, or intense workouts
  • No makeup or brow products
  • No touching or rubbing

For the next 7 days:

  • Apply the conditioning serum we provide daily
  • Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and strong exfoliants in the brow area
  • Use SPF on the brow area when outdoors
  • Brush brows upward with a clean spoolie each morning to maintain the set

Ongoing:

  • Rebook every 6–8 weeks for maintenance
  • Keep brow hair conditioned with oils or serums between appointments
  • Protect from excessive sun exposure (fades the tint faster if combined)

Who Is (and Isn’t) a Good Candidate

Good candidates

  • Healthy adults with average-to-thick brow hair
  • Clients wanting a fuller, shaped look without permanent commitment
  • Sensitive skin clients (with successful patch test)
  • Clients who’ve considered microblading but want a less invasive option

Not candidates (or must wait)

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients
  • Clients on Accutane within the past 6 months
  • Clients with eczema, dermatitis, or active skin conditions on or near the brows
  • Clients with very sparse, fine, or chemically damaged brow hair
  • Clients who recently had brow tattooing, microblading, or PMU work (wait 4 weeks minimum)
  • Clients with known allergies to thioglycolates or chemical hair treatments
  • Under 18 without parental consent

Many clients try brow lamination first to see if they want the fuller look, then commit to microblading if they want a longer-term solution. Others stay with lamination indefinitely because they love the maintainable, natural result.
