Eyelash Lift

Eyelash Lift

Breathe. Relax. Let go. Your natural lashes, curled and lifted for 6–8 weeks. No extensions, no mascara, no daily maintenance. Wake up with lashes that look longer, more open, and effortlessly beautiful — because they’re actually yours.

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls your natural lashes upward and outward, making them appear significantly longer, more open, and more dramatic — without extensions, mascara, or daily effort. Think of it as a perm for your lashes. The effect lasts 6–8 weeks, requires zero maintenance, and works with every lifestyle — swimming, sleeping, sweating, crying, showering all totally fine. Every lash lift at Pristine is performed by a licensed esthetician using professional-grade systems from trusted brands like Elleebana. Pair it with a lash tint and you’ve basically replaced mascara entirely for the next two months. The #2 most-requested lash service at Pristine after extensions — and often the right choice for clients who want enhancement without the commitment.

What Makes Pristine Lash Lifts Different

Licensed estheticians only.

Lash lift solutions sit millimeters from your eye for 8–12 minutes per step. Timing mistakes can damage lashes permanently. Every lash lift at Pristine is performed by a Florida-licensed esthetician trained specifically on this service. Many trained at Pristine Beauty Academy, our own accredited school.

Strict timing discipline.

The difference between a perfect lift and over-processed damage is minutes. Our estheticians monitor processing time with precision — too short and the lift doesn’t set; too long and lashes become brittle or frizzy. We don’t rush, we don’t multitask, and we don’t over-process.

Premium lash lift systems.

We use professional-grade systems (Elleebana and similar) specifically formulated for delicate lash hair. No bargain imports, no DIY kits, no generic solutions that work “close enough.” The products matter.

Customized to your natural lash length.

Lash lifts use silicone shields in multiple sizes to determine the degree of curl. Short lashes need smaller shields (more curl), longer lashes need larger shields (softer, more natural lift). Your esthetician selects the right shield for YOUR lashes, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Honest consultation.

If your lashes aren’t good candidates for lifting (very short, chemically damaged, post-Accutane, recent extensions removal), we’ll tell you at consultation and recommend alternatives or a prep period.

Pair with tinting for maximum effect.

90% of our lash lift clients add a tint. Lift makes lashes look longer; tint makes them look darker and fuller. Combo = instant “wearing mascara but aren’t” effect for 6–8 weeks.

What Is a Lash Lift?

A lash lift is a three-step chemical process performed on your natural lashes:

  1. 1.Lifting Solution Breaks down the disulfide bonds in lash hair, allowing them to be reshaped.
  2. 2.Neutralizing Solution Rebuilds the bonds in the new curled position, setting the lashes in a lifted shape.
  3. 3.Nourishing Oil or Serum Conditions and protects the lashes after the chemical process.

Your lashes are held against a silicone shield (which creates the curl shape) during processing. When finished, each individual lash is lifted upward and outward instead of growing straight down or at a flat angle. The result is dramatically more visible lashes — longer-looking, more open-eyed, and more defined — without a single drop of mascara.

Lash Lift + Tint Combo — Why It’s the Best Booking

Alone, a lash lift makes your natural lashes look curled and longer. Paired with lash tinting, it also makes them look darker and fuller — essentially replicating the effect of really good mascara for the next 6–8 weeks.

The combo works because:

  • Lift opens your eyes (curl pulls lashes away from the waterline, making eyes appear bigger)
  • Tint darkens the lash line (adds definition and natural-looking fullness)
  • Together they create a “wearing makeup but aren’t” look that photographs beautifully and holds up through anything

The combo is only 10–15 minutes longer than a lift alone. It’s the default booking for almost all Pristine lash lift clients.

Total appointment time: 45–60 minutes for lift + tint. 30–45 minutes for lift alone.

Benefits of Lash Lifts

  • 6–8 weeks of zero-maintenance lashes — no daily mascara, no touch-ups, no fuss
  • Your real lashes, just better — no extensions, no faux look, no fake-lash feel
  • Opens the eye shape — the lifted curl makes eyes look bigger and more awake
  • Waterproof by nature — swim, shower, sweat, cry — it holds
  • No daily routine disruption — works with every makeup or skincare regimen
  • Pairs with every other service — brows, facials, makeup, extensions (on a prior visit)
  • Pregnancy-safe — unlike many cosmetic treatments, lash lifts can be performed safely during pregnancy
  • Low maintenance commitment — one appointment, no fills, no rebooking for 6–8 weeks
  • Lower cost than extensions — single appointment vs. fills every 2–3 weeks for extensions
  • No damage to natural lashes when performed properly — unlike poorly applied extensions

What to Expect During Your Lash Lift

Consultation.

Your esthetician reviews your natural lash health, recent treatments, contact lens use, allergies, and what you want from the lift. Reference photos help if you have a specific curl level in mind.

Patch test (first-time clients).

A small amount of solution is applied to skin to confirm no sensitivity. For first-timers, this is typically done 24–48 hours before or same-day with a 15-minute wait.

Prep.

You recline on the treatment bed. Under-eye gel pads protect your skin. Eyes close gently.

Silicone shield application.

The right shield size is selected for your lash length and eye shape. Shields are adhered to your upper lash line.

Lash placement.

Your esthetician lifts each lash upward onto the shield, creating the curl shape they’ll be set in.

Lifting solution (8–12 minutes).

Applied and monitored closely.

Neutralizing solution (8–10 minutes).

Sets the lashes in the new lifted position.

Optional: Tinting (5–10 minutes).

Semi-permanent dye applied for depth and definition.

Nourishing oil/serum application.

Conditions and protects the lashes.

Reveal and aftercare instructions.

You’ll see immediate lift and longer-looking lashes.

Total time: 30–45 minutes for lift alone, 45–60 minutes with tint.

Pre-Treatment Prep

  • No mascara for at least 24 hours before. Solutions need clean lashes.
  • Remove contact lenses before the appointment. Bring glasses.
  • No recent lash extensions (must be fully removed and lashes rested for 1–2 weeks)
  • No retinoids or exfoliating acids in the eye area for 5 days before
  • No waterline eye makeup day of appointment
  • No perming solution or chemical treatments on lashes in the 2 weeks before
  • Come in with clean lashes — no oils, no lash serum residue, no makeup
  • Eat beforehand — lying still for 30–45 minutes is easier with a meal in you
  • Patch test if first-time client — especially if you have sensitive skin or known allergies

Post-Treatment Care — The First 24 Hours Matter Most

For the first 24 hours — critical window:

  • No water on your lashes. No showering over them, no swimming, no steam, no saunas
  • No rubbing, touching, or pulling at the lashes
  • No mascara, eye cream, or eye makeup
  • No hot showers or intense workouts (steam + sweat = lift doesn’t set)
  • Avoid sleeping face-down the first night if possible

For the next 7 days:

  • Apply the conditioning serum we provide daily
  • Brush lashes gently upward with a clean spoolie each morning
  • Avoid oil-based eye makeup removers and skincare in the eye area
  • Use lash-safe cleansers only
  • Be gentle when removing any eye makeup

Ongoing care:

  • Rebook every 6–8 weeks if you want to maintain the lifted look
  • Use a lash growth serum between lifts if you want to build longer lashes
  • Avoid waterproof mascara (requires oil-based removal that affects lift retention)
  • Sleep on your back or with a silk pillowcase to preserve the curl

Who Is (and Isn’t) a Good Candidate

Good candidates

  • Healthy adults with average-to-long natural lashes
  • Clients wanting enhancement without extensions
  • Clients wanting lower-commitment lash service
  • Most skin types (with successful patch test)
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients (lash lifts are generally considered safe)

Not candidates (or must wait)

  • Very short lashes (the shield can’t grip enough hair)
  • Clients on Accutane within the past 6 months
  • Recent chemotherapy (check with oncologist)
  • Active eye infections, conjunctivitis, styes, or pink eye
  • Recent lash tinting from another provider (wait 1–2 weeks)
  • Clients with very damaged or chemically-compromised lashes
  • Clients who recently had lash extensions (wait 1–2 weeks after removal for lashes to recover)
  • Clients with known allergies to thioglycolates (the active in perm-type chemistry)
  • Under 18 without parental consent

Frequently Asked Questions

6–8 weeks. The lift holds until your treated lashes naturally shed and are replaced with new growth — which happens on a normal 6–8 week lash cycle.

Not when performed correctly with proper timing and professional-grade products. Damage happens when timing is off (over-processing), products are subpar, or aftercare is neglected. At Pristine, we dial the timing precisely and use premium systems.

Not at all. The process is comfortable. Your eyes are closed the entire time. Most clients nap through it or decompress in silence.

No. Eyes must stay closed — the solutions are applied close to the waterline. You’ll open them after all steps are complete.

No. A lift curls your natural lashes to maximize their look, but they’re still your lashes. The effect is “your lashes, better” — not dramatic extensions.

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Most clients don’t need to — that’s the whole point — but you can for special occasions. Water-based only.

Yes, but wait 1–2 weeks after your extensions are professionally removed. Your natural lashes need time to recover before any chemical treatment.

Lash lifts are generally considered safe during pregnancy — the chemicals don’t absorb systemically. However, we follow each client’s doctor recommendation. Many pregnant clients schedule lifts because most other cosmetic treatments are off-limits.

Yes — we often pair lash lifts with brow waxing, brow lamination, facials, and other services in a single appointment. Extensions should not be applied immediately after a lift; wait at least 1–2 weeks between treatments.

Every 6–8 weeks. Getting them more frequently than every 5–6 weeks can over-process your natural lashes. Follow the cadence — your lashes will thank you.

The curl naturally relaxes over the first few days after treatment. If you want more curl next time, we’ll use a smaller shield. If it’s too dramatic, we’ll go larger. Communication at rebook is everything.

You’ll need to remove contacts before the appointment. Bring glasses. You can re-insert contacts after the appointment, but wait at least 4 hours.

Yes, visibly. Curled lashes appear significantly longer than flat/downward lashes because they’re no longer pointing toward your cheek. Most clients gain the appearance of 30–50% more length without any extensions.
