Eyelash extensions at Pristine Spas

Eyelash Extensions

Breathe. Relax. Let go. Wake up every morning with full, fluttery lashes that look like the best mascara application of your life — without any mascara. Classic, hybrid, volume, and mega volume sets. Licensed lash artists. Medical-grade adhesive. The #1 most-requested service at Pristine.

Eyelash extensions are the single most-requested service at Pristine. Individual synthetic or mink lashes are applied one at a time to each of your natural lashes using a medical-grade adhesive — no strip lashes, no glue-ons, no clusters. The result is a natural-looking, fuller, longer set of lashes that lasts 6–8 weeks with fills every 2–3 weeks. Every lash set at Pristine is performed by a licensed, specialty-certified lash artist using premium products, strict sanitation protocols, and a custom-designed lash map based on your natural lash health and the look you want. Our clients range from professionals who want a polished baseline to brides prepping for weddings, busy moms saving morning time, and anyone who’s been stuck in mascara rotation for too long.

What Makes Pristine Lash Extensions Different

Licensed, specialty-certified lash artists.

Every lash set at Pristine is performed by a Florida-licensed esthetician with specialty lash certification. Lash extensions require skill beyond general esthetics — our artists hold advanced lash credentials and train continuously on new techniques.

Premium products, not bargain imports.

We use professional-grade lashes from brands like BL Lashes and Nova Lash — not $5 trays from Amazon. The difference between a premium lash and a cheap one is retention time, appearance, and whether your natural lashes stay healthy underneath.

Medical-grade adhesive.

Our adhesive is formulated specifically for eye-area application — low fume, latex-free options available, no harsh chemicals. Adhesive allergies are rare when proper product is used correctly; we’ll patch test if you have any history of sensitivity.

Custom lash mapping.

Every first-time appointment starts with mapping — your artist measures your eye shape, lid structure, and natural lash health, then designs a lash set tailored to you. Round eyes, almond eyes, hooded lids, monolids, downturned eyes — all require different mapping.

Honest lash health consultations.

If your natural lashes can’t support a full volume set, we’ll tell you. Damaged lashes from previous bad lash work, post-chemo regrowth, or very sparse natural lashes all have protocols we follow — sometimes that means starting with classic instead of volume, sometimes that means rebuilding before we apply anything.

Strict sanitation.

Fresh disposable tools for every client. Sanitized workspace. Sealed adhesive. You’re not getting someone else’s adhesive residue or reused micro-brushes.

Rebook before you leave.

Lash fills every 2–3 weeks is the cadence. Most clients rebook at checkout. Stay on schedule, your lashes stay perfect.

Our Lash Extension Styles

Five lash extension styles, every one performed by a licensed specialty-certified lash artist:

Classic Lash Extensions

One extension per natural lash. The original lash extension style. Looks like a very natural, slightly more defined version of your own lashes — similar to wearing mascara every day.

Best for: Natural look, first-timers, daily professional wear, clients with dense natural lashes.

Hybrid Lash Extensions

Mix of classic and volume lashes (usually 70% classic, 30% volume fans). The best-selling style at Pristine. Gives you the natural base of classic with the dimension and fullness of volume — a “wispy” look that photographs beautifully without being dramatic.

Best for: Clients who want natural-but-fuller, brides, professionals, most first-time clients hesitant to commit to full volume.

Volume Lash Extensions

Handmade fans of 2–6 ultra-fine lashes applied to each natural lash. Creates a full, fluffy, dramatic look. Volume fans use lighter-weight extensions, so even multi-lash fans don’t damage natural lashes when applied by a trained artist.

Best for: Dramatic nights out, events, clients with sparse natural lashes wanting fullness, anyone who’s tried classic and wants more.

Mega Volume Lash Extensions

Handmade fans of 6–16 ultra-fine lashes applied to each natural lash. The most dramatic extension style. Creates dense, jet-black, camera-ready fullness.

Best for: Photo shoots, weddings, red carpet events, dramatic daily wearers, clients with very sparse natural lashes who want maximum fullness.

Colored / Specialty Lashes

Colored lashes, ombré sets, and specialty effects. Available as an add-on or full set. Blue, brown, pink, purple, and other colored lashes can add dimension, enhance eye color, or create a statement look for events.

Best for: Events, photoshoots, clients with blue/green eyes, anyone wanting something unique.

If you’re torn between two, book the lighter option first. You can always go fuller on your next fill. Going down in fullness is harder once you’re used to volume.

Benefits of Eyelash Extensions

  • Save 15–25 minutes every morning. No mascara, no eyeliner needed. Just wake up, go.
  • Waterproof by design. Swim, sweat, cry, shower — they stay put. Extensions don’t smudge, transfer, or flake.
  • Look put-together on no-makeup days. Minimum-effort face = lashes + chapstick + moisturizer. That’s it.
  • Enhance your natural eye shape. Properly mapped lashes lift, open, and balance your eyes — a cosmetic effect you can’t get from mascara.
  • Photograph beautifully. Lashes are the difference between “nice photo” and “who’s that?”
  • Perfect for events. Weddings, vacations, photoshoots, graduations, galas — lash extensions don’t fail under any conditions.
  • Customizable. Length, curl, thickness, and density are all adjusted to your face.
  • No commitment beyond 6–8 weeks. Take a break anytime — they grow out naturally with your lash cycle.

What to Expect During Your Lash Appointment

First Full Set

Consultation + mapping.

Your artist reviews your history, lifestyle, allergies, and preferences. Bring reference photos if you have a specific look in mind. Your eye shape and lash health are assessed, and a custom map is built.

Patch test (first-time clients).

A small amount of adhesive is applied to confirm no sensitivity. For first-timers, this can be done 24–48 hours before the main appointment or same-day with a 15-minute wait.

Prep.

You recline on the treatment bed. Under-eye gel pads protect your lower lashes; eyes gently taped closed with medical-grade tape.

Application.

Your artist isolates one natural lash at a time and applies a single extension (classic) or hand-made fan (volume). The process takes 90 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on style and density.

Finishing.

Extensions are brushed, any stray lashes adjusted, and the final look is revealed.

Aftercare instructions.

You’re sent home with a spoolie, aftercare brush, and instructions for the first 24 hours.

Fills

Fills take 60–90 minutes. Your artist removes grown-out extensions, cleans the lash line, and applies new extensions where natural lashes have shed and regrown. Book every 2–3 weeks — don’t wait past 3 weeks or the fill becomes functionally a full set again.

Brides — Read This Before Your Wedding

The single biggest mistake brides make with lashes: booking them the day before or day of the wedding. Don’t do that.

Book your first full set 3–5 days before your wedding. Here’s why:

  • You’ll know if you like them before the wedding (cold feet are real)
  • You can request adjustments at a quick touch-up visit
  • Any redness from application fully subsides
  • Adhesive is fully cured, which means retention during pre-wedding activities is stronger

If you’ve never had extensions before, don’t debut them at your wedding. Book a trial set 4–6 weeks out, assess how you feel, then book the wedding set with confidence.

Consider hybrid over volume for photos. Volume looks great in person but can look heavy in professional photography. Hybrid is the most photograph-friendly style.

Pre-Appointment Prep

  • Arrive with clean lashes. No mascara, no eye makeup, no eye cream, no waterproof makeup. Adhesive needs clean lashes.
  • Skip caffeine before. Caffeine makes eyes twitch — harder for your artist to work.
  • Bring something to listen to. Most clients nap through the appointment, but a podcast or audiobook is a good option.
  • Wear comfortable clothes. You’ll be reclining for 1.5–2.5 hours.
  • Don’t wear contacts. Bring glasses; contacts can dry out over a long appointment.
  • Plan your schedule. Don’t book a first full set before a gym session, swim, or shower — first 24 hours no water.
  • Hydrate beforehand. Better for the work, better for you.

Post-Appointment Care

For the first 24 hours — this part matters most:

  • No water on lashes for 24 hours. No shower spray, no washing face over the sink with splash, no swim, no sauna.
  • No steam — cooking, hot showers, saunas all count.
  • No rubbing or touching. Hands off.
  • No mascara. You don’t need it, and it’s hard to remove without pulling extensions.
  • No oil-based skincare. Oils break down the adhesive. Specifically avoid coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, and many anti-aging night creams.
  • Sleep on your back if possible. Side-sleeping shortens retention.

Ongoing lash care:

  • Cleanse daily with a lash-safe foaming cleanser. Dirty lashes = crusty lashes + shortened retention.
  • Brush them every morning with a clean spoolie. Keeps them aligned.
  • No waterproof mascara — the removers are lash-killers.
  • Avoid oil-based products near the eyes. Check ingredient lists on makeup removers, face oils, and night creams.
  • Sleep on your back or with a silk pillowcase to reduce friction.
  • Fills every 2–3 weeks. No exceptions if you want consistency.

Who Is (and Isn’t) a Candidate

Good candidates

  • Healthy adults 18+ with healthy natural lashes
  • Clients with no history of adhesive allergy
  • Clients willing to adjust skincare routine (oil-free, gentle cleansers)
  • Clients who can commit to the 2–3 week fill cadence

Not candidates (or must wait)

  • Clients with active eye infections, styes, or pink eye
  • Clients on Accutane (lashes become fragile — must wait 6 months)
  • Active chemotherapy patients (post-treatment okay with medical clearance)
  • Clients with severe adhesive allergies (latex-free adhesives may work, patch test first)
  • Clients with trichotillomania or compulsive eye-touching
  • Clients with very damaged natural lashes from prior bad lash work — we may recommend recovery first

Pregnant and breastfeeding clients are fine — just be aware that some can’t recline comfortably for 2+ hours in later trimesters.

Lash Extensions vs. Lash Lift — Which Should You Book?

If you’re torn between lash extensions and a lash lift, here’s the quick version:

Lash extensions

Add length, volume, and dramatic effect. Last 6–8 weeks with fills every 2–3 weeks. Higher maintenance, higher cost, higher visual impact.

Lash lift

Curls your natural lashes upward to look longer and more open. Lasts 6–8 weeks. Zero maintenance, lower cost, subtle natural enhancement.

If you want mascara-like drama every day without mascara, extensions. If you want your natural lashes to look their best without product, lift.

Many clients alternate — extensions during events-heavy seasons, lash lift during slower periods to let natural lashes rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Individual extensions last 6–8 weeks — the life of the natural lash they’re attached to. Your natural lashes shed every 4–8 weeks and new ones grow in their place, which is why fills every 2–3 weeks are needed to maintain a full look.

90 minutes for classic, 2–2.5 hours for volume or mega volume. Plan to recline comfortably for the duration — most clients nap through it.

Every 2–3 weeks. If you wait past 3 weeks, you’ll need a “mini set” (75% of a full set) or a new full set depending on retention.

Not when applied correctly by a trained artist using proper weight, length, and adhesive. Damage comes from poor application (too heavy, multiple natural lashes glued together, aggressive removal), not from extensions themselves. This is why licensing and certification matter.

Yes, but we don’t recommend it. Water-based mascara on the tips only is fine. Never use waterproof mascara — it requires oil-based removers that break down adhesive.

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Chlorine and salt water don’t damage extensions. Rinse gently and let air dry.

Pricing varies by set style and location. Classic sets are the most affordable, mega volume the most premium. Fills are roughly 40–50% of a full set cost. Transparent pricing shown at booking.

True adhesive allergies are rare. If you’ve had reactions to adhesives before, we offer latex-free alternatives and will patch test 24–48 hours before your first set. If a reaction occurs during or after, we’ll remove the extensions immediately and recommend alternatives (lash lift, serum-based treatments).

Yes. The main consideration is comfort — later trimesters can make 2-hour reclining difficult. Your artist can prop and support you as needed.

Please don’t. DIY removal damages natural lashes. If you want them off, book a professional removal appointment — it’s quick, safe, and protects your lashes.

Not required, but helpful if you’re unsure about style. Most clients skip the consultation and build time at the start of their full set appointment for mapping and discussion.

Yes, these are unrelated services. Extensions don’t interfere with PMU work or vice versa.
